Food Assistance Resources Available for Miami-Dade Residents

As families across Miami-Dade face uncertainty due to the ongoing government shutdown and the expiration of SNAP benefits, local organizations have come together to ensure that no one in our community goes hungry.

Through the Food Assistance Community Response InitiativeMayor Daniella Levine Cava has partnered with United Way MiamiFarm Share, and Feeding South Florida to activate emergency food distribution sites across the county. These efforts aim to support residents impacted by the reduction in food benefits by connecting them with reliable, local resources.

If you or someone you know needs food assistance, please visit the official Food Assistance Community Response website or call 211 — a one-stop helpline for local support services.

Community Food Resources

Together, we can make sure every family in our community has access to healthy, nourishing food during this critical time. Please share these resources widely and encourage those in need to reach out.

If you or someone you know is at risk of homelessness, please call the Homeless Helpline at 1-877-994-HELP (4357) for immediate assistance.
