Ebony Johnson, a Miami native, is a passionate educator, community activist, and mother. Her love for teaching began at 12, leading her to earn a master’s in Reading and Learning Disabilities from the University of Miami. After nearly a decade as an elementary school teacher, she founded The Resource Room in 2001 to provide educational and community support.
As Executive Director, she oversees programs serving over 150 children daily, offering aftercare, career guidance, and access to vital resources. A dedicated NAACP leader, Ebony continues to empower youth and families, advocating for education, civic engagement, and lifelong success.
Our powerhouse team is made up of passionate, professional minority women dedicated to uplifting our community. With a shared commitment to education and empowerment, we work tirelessly to connect families with the resources they need to thrive.
